wandering into someone's shelf feels a little like the old internet did, personal pages, weird corners, things people made because they wanted to, not because a platform told them to. trinket is trying to hold onto that feeling on purpose.
this little guide isn't the real thing. it's a fan style shrine built to show what trinket feels like before you ever sign in, made separately, kept separately, linking back to the one place that actually matters.
who's behind it
trinket was founded by dae, a twenty something black woman living in seattle who's spent the last four plus years working in tech and the music industry. she built trinket first as a personal internet escape, a link in bio replacement for herself.
the idea grew from there. once she saw the shape of it, she started noticing how many other people wanted the same thing, somewhere algorithm free, with no pressure attached, and how real that already felt to the people using it.
trinket will keep growing and changing. it won't lose what it's actually for.
